Along with Octavio, I am the research lab manager for the BioMEMS Resource Center at the CEM. I oversee daily research operations of the lab, and provide technical and research assistance to fellows and students. I also spearhead new areas of technical research (e.g., acoustic microfluidics).

I am assisting CEM researchers on a number of projects including the Circulating Tumor Cell and Glue Grant ("Inflammation and the Host Response") initiatives.

I am the lead technical manager of the BioMEMS resource center at the CEM.  In this capacity, I prioritorize all projects and conduct training of investigators and fellows.

With Drs John Biggers and Mehmet Toner, our research is focused on the development of a simple, low-cost evaporative drying technique for long-term storage of mouse sperm at non-freezing temperatures.

I am an R&D engineer and I am currently working with Ken Kotz on building next generation blood diagnostic devices

I am the lead program manager of the CEM.  In this capacity, I handle all personnel issues, organize all internal and external meetings and conferences, and monitor research and educational program expenditures.

I am largely involved with administrative aspects of the BioMEMS Resource Center of the CEM. I also assist with CEM personnel issues, and internal and external meetings and conferences.

I am working on the development of a novel microfluidic device to sort and selectively capture rare cells from whole blood. In particular, I am interested in isolating circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from patient blood samples for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.

As the Research Grant Manager, I am responsible for administration of the research grants for the CEM as well as the MGH Burn Service. I assist the Principal Investigators with their research proposals, and monitor and administer the financial aspects of all funded projects.

I am studying how environmental stressors in animal models determine the up regulation or down regulation of genes. I am also characterizing these genetic affects on wound healing.
